JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop, plan and implement customer offers coordinated and in line with brand and marketing objectives, in collaboration and consultation with the Senior DRM Manager Represent marketing interests as part of the cross-departmental DRM team and creating customized customer offers, in line with company marketing guidelines, to drive ancillary revenues Challenge existing pricing, marketing and distribution methods with an entrepreneurial / experimental approach to implement customized offers and embracing a fail fast and test & learn approach.
Play full contributing role to the DRM team in developing new customized products (offers) incorporating flight and / or ancillary elements and apply marketing experience that recognizes consumer retail behaviour Manage and develop automated customer communication through appropriate contact platforms (15 below / Adobe etc.) marketing appropriate offers & products Provide direct input to marketing messages that will drive customer interest and purchase Support the activation of key sponsorship assets identifying revenue optimization opportunities through DRM and by integrating with the Sponsorship dept.
Develop strategy to grow ancillary as both a la carte and part of bundled pricing offerings and achieve annual Ancillary Budget Work with relevant local partners to develop marketing alliances and contribute to the effective promotion of the Etihad brand Performance track DRM Marketing campaigns and activities at a pre, during and post-launch level, to ensure timely identification and effective resolution of corrective actions Contribute to development of DRM processes and administrative and accounting procedures to ensure the accurate and timely execution.
Co-ordinate between the DRM and Marketing teams to ensuring brand consistence, quality, cost parameters and timeframes and report to senior management in DRM and Marketing to ensure awareness and understanding of activities, campaigns and new developments Perform research and studies to identify innovations and trends to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of campaigns
Qualification & Education:
Degree level Education or equivalent work based experience and specialization in Marketing would be a distinct advantage
Experience:
- Around 5 years in a marketing or guest communication role, of which 2 is in a managerial marketing-centric position
- Ideally with airline or travel industry background
- Must be a self-starter who can prove an ability to operate in a challenging environment and with multi-cultural teams.
- Provide practical & demonstrable experience in marketing approach, message & communication layout that is proven to attract customer interest and motivate purchases
Training & Knowledge:
- Expertise in the various disciplines of Marketing Communication
- Knowledgeable in data mining & analysis of business reports
- High computer literacy with good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Strong interpersonal skills, social competence & negotiating capability
- An understanding of Pricing and / or Revenue Management principles would be an advantage
- Ability to learn & understand unique and changing airline distribution initiatives and translate technical capabilities into marketing opportunities (example: IATA NDC & One Order)
